Litter & Rubbish, Nether Edge

Machon Bank Road rubbish cleared up

05.15.09

Belated news, but worth noting nonetheless.  Many local residents will have spotted that the large bags of rubbish that were on the pavement of Machon Bank Road between the Sainsbury’s Local and Violet Bank Road have been removed by the council.

These large builder’s bags were full of all sorts of rubbish and had sat there for some time.  I contacted the council to get these removed and after a little bit of time whilst they tried to work out who may have left them there in the first place, (in the hope that they could take them away instead), they were finally removed.  Thank you Streetforce.

Thanks to a local resident for getting in touch about them.  I spend quite a bit of time going around the ward looking for places that need some attention or a general tidy up.  But it’s a big area, and so if you spot something that needs to be sorted out then let me know using my contact details on this website or contact one of the local councillors.
